Dear Bigfork Students and Parents,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying your summer. We’re excited to share plans for reopening our schools on-site this fall.
As you know, school leaders in the Flathead Valley have been meeting and discussing plans throughout the summer for the opening of school this fall. We are meeting regularly and working closely with state leaders and the Flathead City-County Health Department and will continue to do so. On June 29, the Bigfork Board of Trustees approved the attached Reopening of Schools Guidelines for All Phases document. Outlined in this document, you will find a plan for each phase, should conditions change for Montana or the Flathead Valley. Following that plan is some supporting information from the Governor’s Office, Flathead-City County Health Department, and the Centers for Disease Control that include additional links for your information.
Our plan is to have students return to school in the fall at 100% capacity while we are currently under Phase II in Flathead County.
At this stage in the planning, it is critical that we hear from you. Before July 17, please complete this survey using this link: https://forms.gle/
Please know that the safety and wellbeing of our students, families, staff, and community continues to be our highest priority.
Sincerely,
Matthew Jensen, Superintendent Bigfork Schools
