Winter field trip is upon us! We will be taking a day off of school work on February 5, 2018 to enjoy winter activities. Students will have the opportunity to travel to Whitefish Mountain Resort for a day of skiing/ snowboarding or Stumptown Ice Den & Bowling. Because Winter Activity Day is a noncurricular field trip, students must be in Good Standing to attend, which means they must have a 70% or above in their classes.

Students who choose to go to Whitefish Mountain Resort will be leaving at 8:00 AM and returning at 4:00 PM. Families will be responsible for finding rides home for their child. The students will be broken up into different lessons/instructors depending upon their level of skiing/snowboarding. Everyone is welcome from beginners to experts. Here are some things that students will need: sack lunch, gloves, winter jacket, goggles, helmets, snow pants, layers, and any additional equipment. Additionally, students are welcome to pack or buy a lunch at the mountain. If students wish to purchase food at the resort, they must bring cash to do so.

Whitefish Mountain Resort Cost Breakdown
$25 for all students or chaperones
$10 for students renting
+ $9 for students who will also like to rent a helmet.

Students who choose to go Ice Skating and Bowling will be leaving by 8:15 AM and returning in time for busses. It is important to note that only the first 60 students to return all their forms and money will be able to attend this trip due to the size of the ice rink. Here are some things that students will need: sack lunch, gloves, winter jacket, comfortable pants, layers, and any additional equipment. Additionally, students are welcome to pack or buy a lunch at Pick’s. If students wish to purchase food at the bowling alley, they must bring cash to do so.

Field trip money and forms will need to be RETURNED TO Mrs. Sweet NO LATER than January 25th, 2018. There will be no late acceptance of forms since we are responsible for giving all venues an accurate count of students attending. Additionally, all checks can be made payable to Bigfork School District.
